Equipment Operator Training
Private training at your facility. Practical instruction on your equipment.
ARC Training Solutions combines instructor-led classroom instruction, hands-on practice and individual operator evaluations for teams in Pennsylvania and surrounding service areas.
Training for the equipment your team uses
Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT)
Forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, electric pallet jacks and other applicable powered industrial trucks. Instruction addresses the equipment type, operating environment and tasks your operators perform.
Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWP)
Scissor lifts, articulating boom lifts, telescopic boom lifts and other applicable aerial work platforms. Training addresses equipment-specific controls, inspections, site conditions and safe operation.
Additional equipment and evaluations
Telehandlers, rough-terrain forklifts, equipment-specific refresher training and operator competency evaluations. Contact ARC to confirm the scope for your equipment and workplace.
From instruction to practical evaluation
Classroom instruction: Equipment hazards, operating limitations, stability, load handling and workplace safety considerations.
Hands-on practical training: Equipment familiarization, pre-operation inspection instruction and supervised operating practice using your equipment.
Individual operator evaluations: Observation of practical operating skills, with evaluation outcomes and additional training needs documented.
Training records: Training and evaluation documentation identifying participants, dates, equipment covered and results.
Plan private training at your facility
Training is primarily delivered privately at client facilities using client equipment. Share your location, equipment types, group size, operator experience and preferred dates so ARC can recommend a practical schedule.
Your facility should provide serviceable equipment, relevant operator manuals and a suitable area for practice and evaluations. Course scope and timing depend on the equipment and the practice each participant needs.
Refresher training and competency evaluations
ARC can help address equipment changes, observed performance concerns and equipment-specific refresher needs. Experienced operators can also be evaluated against the agreed equipment and workplace scope.
Attendance alone does not demonstrate operating competency. General safety awareness courses and OSHA Outreach training do not replace equipment-specific instruction and practical operator evaluations. Employers remain responsible for workplace requirements and authorization to operate equipment.
