OSHA 10 vs. OSHA 30
A practical course-selection guide from ARC Training Solutions.

Match the course to responsibility
OSHA’s 10-Hour Outreach course introduces common workplace hazards and is primarily intended for entry-level workers. The 30-Hour course offers greater depth and a broader range of topics for supervisors and workers with safety responsibilities.
Questions to answer before booking
What work does the team perform, and which industry track fits it?
Who recognizes hazards only in their own tasks, and who also coordinates or oversees others?
Does a client, employer or project specify a particular course?
Can every participant attend the complete schedule?
What completion means
Successful participants receive an OSHA Outreach course completion card. The card is not a certification or operating license. Outreach training does not replace the specific hazard training required by OSHA standards.
ARC’s planning approach
Share job roles, work activities, group size and any written project requirements before requesting a quote. A mixed group may need different courses rather than a single choice for everyone. Build attendance time into the work schedule so participants can focus on the instruction.
Equipment operators may also need equipment-specific instruction, practical training and individual evaluation. Choosing OSHA 30 does not, by itself, qualify someone to operate a forklift or lift.
